Where is everyone?

It’s mid August and unless you live by the ocean or other high tourist areas here in Italy chances are you, if you are at home, are feeling a little lonely. Everyone has cleared out. It now only takes 5 minutes to get to the old city and there is plenty of parking. It’s such a strange feeling being that the rest of the year we fight traffic and pray for parking spaces. Most of our friends left last week and the rest are leaving today and tomorrow. We sadly won’t be leaving for another two weeks. But I am not complaining. It’s nice to have the city to ourselves.
