Wintery day.

I might be evil

14 Jan

or just tired and stressed? Either way I called the man on the bus who gave me a ticket for not stamping my bus ticket a “stronzo” today . Ass-hole for all you non-Italian speaking folks. Not a stellar day all in all.  On a funny note the teenager sitting behind me did say that he probably has a small member. Thank God for my little vulgar guardian angel or I probably would have burst into tears then and there.

Moving

19 Nov

It’s official we are moving.  Bring on the packing the organizing and the general misery that comes with moving.  I can’t wait until we are moved in.

New home

You have got to be kidding me.

This year I finally got my act together and put some flowers in the flower boxes. We asked the garden store specifically for plants that were hardy and that I couldn’t kill. I am still scarred from last years attempt.  Poor Geraniums.  We picked Begonia’s and  Cana di Vetro. The woman assured me that I would not kill them and that they would last until November or the first hard frost.

My lovely Cana di Vetro

My lovely Begonia's

Lovely are they not? Well , what she didn’t foresee was some crappy person stealing them. Pulling them out and  leaving empty and half empty pots and piles of dirt everywhere.

Where the Begonia's where.

Cana di Vetro after.

I guess I should be glad, as my aunt said, that they didn’t steal the pots too. It could have been worse but it could have been better too. They could have just left them alone. Jerks.

Monte Avaro

22 Jul

Since it is so stinkin’ or freakin’ (which ever you prefer) hot I thought that I would post some of our adventures from this winter. In the hopes of remembering the sensation of cool. Why is that we are never satisfied with the weather? Sigh.

We took our trip to Monte Avaro in Valle Brembana last February and man was it cold. I had on at least 4 layers of clothing. It was a good day playing in the snow with Matisse.
