Concerts, pronto pups, rides, hand cut french fries, art, cheese curds, lemonade, buckets of cookies and anything your heart desires on a stick. Yes, it’s that special time of year. The arrival of the Minnesota State Fair. Living abroad is great and there are many new experiences but sometimes you long for the experiences that made you who you are. I grew up in Minnesota and I am proud of that. I like to eat things on a stick. I like to see things carved out of butter. I love machinery hill. I am a Minnesooootan. I can’t wait to see all the mobile updates of my friends at the fair. Have a pronto pup for me.
Shoot out the light
13 AugSometimes Italy surprises me. Just when I think I get it and understand Italians. I just jump into a wine makers Audi Q5 and find country music on top volume. Hell yeah. Nothing like cruising through the Italian country side listening to country music. This is one of my favorites. Country music always bring a smile to face. So many memories.
Tile floor = cold feet
3 NovI have been a knitting machine the last month or so and I am clearing through my stash like nobody’s business. In the last month I have knitted five hats and a pair of slippers. I blame Ravelry. I also have a couple of secret projects that are coming along nicely too. But the project that I am most excited about is the pair of slippers that I just finished. This is because we have tile flooring and it’s cold. Really cold. Like two pairs of thick socks cold and this is coming from a girl who grew up in Minnesota. I know from cold. These slippers are amazingly warm and comfy. I love putting them on. Take that tile flooring!

Warm feet!!!!
Where the wild things are
23 OctI remember as a child sitting in the carpeted bathtub in the Hopkins library with a stack of books. This book was always in the pile. I can’t wait to see it come to life.
